EDUARDO FROTA nasceu em Fortaleza, em 1959, e iniciou sua produção artística no final da década de 1970 e início dos anos 1980. Mudou-se para o Rio de Janeiro em 1978, onde fez o curso Intensivo de Arte/Educação (CIAE) da Escolinha de Arte do Brasil (EAB), e cursou Licenciatura Plena em Educação Artística pelas Faculdades Integradas Bennett, além de frequentar cursos e oficinas no MAM/RJ. Viveu por muitos anos no Rio, regressando a Fortaleza em 1992, onde vive até hoje. Participou da 3a Bienal do Mercosul (Porto Alegre, RS, 2001) e integrou a XXV Bienal de São Paulo (2002).

EDUARDO FROTA was born in Fortaleza in 1959, and began his artistic career in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He moved to Rio de Janeiro in 1978, where he did an intensive art and education course at Escolinha de Arte do Brasil and an Art Education degree with teaching certificate at Faculdades Integradas Bennett, and also attended courses and workshops at the Museum of Modern Art. He moved back to Fortaleza in 1992, where he has lived ever since. He took part in the 3rd Mercosur Biennial (Porto Alegre, 2001) and the 25th São Paulo Biennial (2002).
